The Power of Small Wins

Momentum is one of the most powerful forces in life, and often has a small, slow start. But even one small win builds confidence, and propels you toward your next, and before long, you’ll look back and see how far you’ve come.

For us women over 40, fitness is even more challenging. Hormones, metabolism, muscle mass, energy levels, body fat distribution … it’s all changing. The good news is, fitness doesn’t happen overnight. So it’s all about small, intentional actions that help us keep taking the next step toward the fit, healthy, strong lifestyle we hope for as we age.

The biggest challenge is getting started. I hear you. It’s daunting and discouraging and most of us want results at the click of a button. So it’s important that we remember to focus on realistic steps. Start small by adding “Workout” to your calendar, show up for that appointment with yourself 2 days this week, then 3 next, then 5 … You’re building momentum.

The best part about momentum … is that you make progress, and progress doesn’t have to be perfect to be powerful, it just needs to be consistent. So keep doing the next best thing, and then the next, and make sure to celebrate your wins, no matter what size.

♡, Breanna
